Founded and led by Kenyan educator Dr. Naomi Karaya, Global Abiding Hope brings food, clean water, shoes, books, and shelter to children and families, from metro Atlanta to the schools of rural Kenya.
Dr. Naomi Karaya is a Kenyan-born educator with more than three decades of experience, a degree from Kenyatta University, and a doctorate in education. Global Abiding Hope is the continuation of a vision that began a generation ago.
When Naomi was a girl, the nearest school was a five-mile walk away. Her father gave his own land so a kindergarten could be built closer to home. That small school grew into a full elementary school, and the little girl who watched it rise grew up to earn her degree in education and become a teacher within those same walls.
“I found it because it's my father's vision. If my father did not have this vision, there would not be a school here.”
Today, Naomi carries that legacy forward through Global Abiding Hope by feeding families, equipping classrooms, and bringing clean water and shelter to those who need it most. A mother of two and grandmother of three, she believes legacy isn't what you leave behind. It's what your children continue.
